More reasons whānau love us
- Flexible booking times between 7.30am and 5.30pm to suit your family's day.
- Spacious, natural outdoor environment for children to explore and play.
- Mixed age centre so siblings share their day together, and single-child families enjoy learning alongside younger and older children.
- Small, family-friendly centre with a capacity of 35 children. Being small feels less overwhelming for our littlest ones.
Learning together, the Kiwi way
We work in partnership with parents and whānau to provide nurturing care and education that supports children to grow as competent, confident learners.
We recognise each child as a unique and important individual by promoting an inclusive learning environment where all families’, whānau cultures and beliefs are acknowledged and valued. Our programme immerses every child in knowledge and understanding of Māori culture, integrating Te Reo and tikanga practices into our daily rhythm.
For our 4 year olds we provide a challenging, interesting, planned programme that builds the confidence they need for a smooth transition to school.
We believe in creating a calm, caring environment that empowers children, staff, families and whānau to learn together as a community, one where holistic learning and the importance of spontaneous play are both recognised.
One mixed-age room
We’re a single mixed-age Centre where children from birth to school age learn and play together — just like a family.
Learning together, all ages
We’re one mixed-age room, so siblings can stay together and every child grows up in a natural, family-like setting. The little ones learn from the older children, and the older ones build confidence by helping and leading. Thoughtfully designed spaces give each stage of development its own safe place to thrive.
Play-based, individual pathways
Every child follows their own rhythms and an individual learning plan. Rich, play-based days full of investigation and imagination build the confidence and social skills that set each child up for school.
Daily routines
Our day gives children an environment where they learn holistically, with sociocultural learning in mind. We run our programme in line with Te Whāriki, the NZ Early Childhood Curriculum, offering free play where children are challenged while working alongside their peers and teachers. Every child has an individual learning plan documenting their time and progress with us.
Our day is structured to meet the needs of the children in our environment. Children bring their own lunchbox, and we encourage healthy eating in a social setting. Rolling morning and afternoon tea times let children take responsibility for their own routines and learning.
We still value group times, both formal and informal. Once a day, at 11:30am, we come together for a structured mat time full of dance, music, drama and stories.

Loved by our whānau
“Kiwi Treasures has been my son’s second home for the last 3 years and my gosh, the staff are absolutely fantastic, always greeted with aroha. His growth and development has come so far because of the staff being patient, kind and loving. You can see how much the teachers give in time and aroha, children run to them so happy, wanting hugs. It’s just like a whānau. I couldn’t have asked for a better daycare. Highly, highly recommended.”
